Timothy Adams Bags Majority of Chips in PokerStars Prague €50K

The PokerStars Championship Prague €50,000 Super High Roller is down to just three players in contention for the €555,000 first-place prize, but really, it's down to one big favorite and two underdogs.

Timothy Adams has a huge chip lead with 6,045,000 at the close of Day 2. That's good for a majority of the chips in play, but he still has stiff competition to deal with as his remaining two hurdles are Adrian Mateos (1,790,000) and Mikita Badziakouski (665,000). Both have been ever-present at the high rollers around the world this year, cashing for over $4 million, so it wouldn't be a shock if either was able to turn the tables on Adams.

The day began with a handful of entries and reentries, with Steve O'Dwyer firing his third shell while new faces David Peters and Mateos showed up for the first time. That pushed the entry number up to the final tally of 34, and the payout structure in use determined that six players would cash.

Big stacks Koray Aldemir, Orpen Kisacikoglu and Erik Seidel experienced strong starts, at the expense of all of the fresh entries aside from Mateos and the likes of Stephen Chidwick, Christoph Vogelsang, Ole Schemion and the well-traveled Daniel Dvoress. All of those players and more found themselves out the door before the nine-handed unofficial final table.
